Deliverance from a spirit of depression

My testimony of the time when the Lord delivered me from a spirit of depression/oppression. Also singing the song the Lord sang over me when He delivered me. Praise God. I pray that the Lord will use it to bless you too.

Dr. Aaron Beck: CBT and a Triad Model

In this question and answer session at the Beck Institute 2011 workshop for Active Duty and Veteran Military, Dr. Aaron Beck describes cognitive and behavioral similarities which can be discerned across disorders. He notes that in insomnia, GAD, PTSD, depression, anxiety disorders and recovery from post-concussive syndrome, patients who have the greatest difficulty re-establishing pre-morbid functioning tend to over focus on internally generated cues about the self (uncomfortable symptoms), evidence dysfunctional beliefs about their functioning, and consequently engage in less productive behavior. This “triad” – self focus, dysfunctional beliefs and dysfunctional behaviors – tends to contribute to difficulties recovering and are the focus of CBT.

  1. hello so glad to hear that my testimony has encouraged you, God is so good, just know that Jesus came to set the captives free, and the ones the Son sets free is free indeed. It is God’s will that you be free, keep seeking after Him because He promised that He would be found by those who seek for Him with their whole hearts. You are precious to Him and He has not forgotten you, you are always on His mind, and your great High Priest,Jesus Christ, lives to always make intercession for you.God bless

  2. thank you for your testimony. I am currently feeling the spirit of oppression and depression. its been a stuggle. As a believer in Jesus Christ I know that there deliverence in his blood. I know this will come to pass and that God allowed this for his purpose; however at times its seems that the voice of the devil is louder and the voice of God. Your testimony encouraged me to continue seeking God and not surrender to the voice of the devil. Thank you.

  3. amen.

  4. Jesus always brings us hope, He came to set the captives free :)

  5. amen Solve, stand on the Word of God it’s your Sword against the lies of the devil, remember what Jesus was tempted, satan attacked Him by twisting God’s word, but Jesus countered his attack with the living Word of God.The shield of faith we raise as we stand on the Word of God,believing what God has said and standing against the lies of the evil one,Submit to God, resist the devil and he will flee from you.Satan can’t stand against us when we submit to God and stand on the truth,we are set free

  6. amen skylight, noting is impossible with our God. He alone is God and there is none like Him. He is so kind and merciful, patient and faithful. He offers to everyone His gift of salvation, and through our testimonies of what He has done for us others can see that He is a personal God and not afar off, but He is near to the brokenhearted and saves those who are pressed down, if we will just call on His name to be saved. Thank you Jesus!!!

  7. amen the Word says that we overcome by the blood of the lamb and by the Word of our testimony. May the Lord be glorified and shine His light of redemption into the lives of so many that need hope and freedom, in Jesus mighty name. amen

  11. right now God is doing a great work in the body of Christ and is calling many to step up and be serious for Him. He is warning that many things are going to change in this world dramatically and we need to be ready to face them with the help of the Holy Spirit, and as we become serious with the Lord, seeking Him daily and reading His Word we will become stronger with His strength and we will be ready to face the difficulties ahead,God bless you Solve and may He guide you on the path of Life! amen

  12. Thank you for your comment and I understand, and yes of course if someone hasn’t yet been set free by Jesus, they should not go off of their medication. I understand your concern, because of course if someone is not set free going off their medication could make them much worse. But I want to make people aware that depression quite often stems from deep wounds from our past, or unresolved issues buried deep within. Jesus brings these things to the surface so we can face them and be healed 🙂

  13. I told her to take her meds first and then be religious as she wants. Did I say anything incurrate? Are you saying I should have said read the bible and not worry about the meds? We aren’t living in the dark ages.

  14. amen, i will pray for encouragement, it’s a time of testing and endurance for me. God Bless

  15. I encourage you my brother to hold onto your faith with diligence, Satan wants to rob you and derail you from your walk with the Lord but Jesus has better plans for you if you will submit to Him. amen
Heb 3:13 But exhort one another daily, while it is called To day; lest any of you be hardened through the deceitfulness of sin.
    Heb 3:14 For we are made partakers of Christ, if we hold the beginning of our confidence stedfast unto the end;

  16. By reason of use: Hebrews 5:13 For every one that useth milk is unskilful in the word of righteousness: for he is a babe.
Heb 5:14 But strong meat belongeth to them that are of full age, even those who by reason of use have their senses exercised to discern both good and evil.

  17. Col_3:16 Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord.

  18. Luk 11:13 If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children: how much more shall your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to them that ask him?

He is a Good Father and the Holy Spirit is our gift from Him, He is our Helper and is here to lead and guide us into all truth through the Word of God.

  19. first reccognise your spiritual poverty in the areas that you lack, and if you see yourself as someone who is spiritually poor then He says that you’re blessed and that the kingdom of heaven is yours 🙂 Secondly when you recognize that you are spiritually poor then ask Him to give you the hunger, going to Him who is rich in everything you need and He says that He will satisfy everyone who thirsts and hungers after righteousness, and not just satisfy but you’ll be FILLED 🙂 amen

  20. Jesus said in Matthew 5:3 Blessed are the poor in spirit: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. Mat_5:6 Blessed are they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness: for they shall be filled.

  21. I know what you mean Solve. Remember that we can’t do anything apart from Jesus. To even pray or read the bible or worship God is all a gift from Him. Ask Him to give you the hunger to read the Word of God, ask Him to give you the Love for reading the Bible. Jesus said in regards to salvation that it’s impossible with man, but He said that it was possible for God, we need to rely completely on Him. If you truly desire to know Him then ask Him to increase your hunger for Him, and He will, amen

  22. Let Him clean you up, He says come let us reason together, though your sins are as scarlet you shall be white as snow, though they are like crimson they shall be like wool. It’s time to remove the defilement of this world out of your life, so often we don’t even realize the things that are defiling us, ask Him to show you and be willing to give them up to Him. He is more than willing to cleanse and purify you and raise you up to be His special treasure ready to do His will, amen!

  23. Now is the time to return to the Lord in surrender to Him. It’s time to allow Him to be Lord and not merely savior of your life. This is what the Lord has been working out of my life over the past couple of years, learning to surrender, to take up my cross and follow Him, to deny myself and walk in obedience to Him. Allowing Him to remove out of my life everything that is not of Him and let Him purify me for Himself so that I will be part of the pure spotless bride of Christ. This is the call 4U2

  24. it really does, though i hate reading, i don’t hate it, but feel pretty bad. when i read the bible is does give me hope.
